St Hilary's School Charities 2025/2026
At St Hilary's, we are fortunate to have the opportunity to raise funds for a variety of charities that are close to the hearts of our families and staff. Children’s voices play an important role in this process. Each year, we dedicate time for pupils to nominate and vote for both a local and a national charity that they would like our school community to support. This not only empowers our students but also helps them develop a sense of social responsibility and empathy.
Alongside these chosen charities, we also support a number of national campaigns throughout the year, such as Jeans for Genes Day, Children in Need, Comic Relief/Sport Relief, and Mental Health Day. Children and staff are also encouraged to take part in charitable ‘WOW’ moments - personal acts of fundraising that go above and beyond. In previous years, these have included making and selling bracelets, donating hair, creating shoebox gifts, and even completing triathlons!
We also collect many donations as part of our annual Harvest Festival, supporting causes such as The Gambia, The Meath Epilepsy Charity, and The Clockhouse. In addition, some of our Kindergarten children participate in an intergenerational initiative with Jubilee House Care Home, where they visit and take part in activities alongside elderly residents - helping to build meaningful connections across generations.
The chosen Charities for this year are:
Local: TBC
National: TBC
